A DAY IN MY LIFE | 230818

You might remember me telling you how long my days are going to be when I start at uni? Well, today I am going to share with you how my usual day goes. Actually, how my usual uni+work combo day goes. About two or three days of my normal week does look like this one I'm about to show you, so next time you're asking why I'm not tweeting as much as I usually do, here's why.

My alarm goes off at 6 in the morning. I get dressed, do my makeup, do my hair and have a cup of coffee. I'm don't really care about breakfast, so I usually take a yoghurt to go from our fridge. If D happens to have some vanilla yoghurt left. Also, this is the type of a day when I'm the one prepping D up for the daycare as it means that he'll be asleep when I get home from work.

My bus leaves at around half past seven in the morning and on that day I decided to wear a scarf. It had been cold past few mornings so I thought it was going to be cold that morning too. Well, it wasn't but I'm pretty glad I took the scarf with me as it tends to be a bit cool in the uni.

The usual uni day starts at 9 in the morning and I'll be there about 30 minutes early. It's that or 30 minutes too late, as travelling there from where I live it's a bit hard to be there just when the lesson begins. I'm either super early or super late, so guess which I'm choosing!

Also, can we appreciate the bathroom at our uni for a minute there? They're unisex, got huge windows and ah I'm just loving it there! And no, I'm not wearing shoes because we don't do that in our classroom. There's a "no shoes" policy there.

At that time we were doing a group presentation about attention, the art of paying attention and multitasking. It was pretty fun and changed the views of myself and made me do a few changes considering my own behaviour. So my uni day consisted of that from 9 to 2:30. That meant that I was able to go to work half an hour early, so I got off half an hour earlier. I live for those moments, as whatever happens to make my day shorter, I'll be freaking taking it.

On that day I got off from work a bit after seven and was home at 8:30PM. So I'm running around approximately 12-13 hours during these uni+work combo days. It sounds hard, but there's only from 2-3 of them in a week. When our uni schedule gets to its normal, there will be 1-2 of these kinds of days in my week.

Have you been combining uni with your work? How did you juggle with it?

    1. It’s so not weird! I’m in love with them! Haha.
Yeah it’s a long day but it happens only once or twice in a week. Depending on a week haha :-)

  2. I love these little insights into someone else's lives. That's a long day - I don't know how you manage it with a little one! I have really long days too, but that's just because I work long hours and I have a ferry commute too - I'm out of the house 12-13 hours every day with work/commute. I try to get my blogging and writing done on the ferry to maximise the use of my time! :) Charlie xo

  3. You're killin' it, girl! It's been years since I combined work w/ uni but I remember it involved a lot of cramming meals into travel time and sneaking a look at my study materials while on the clock at work, lol.
