3 SIMPLE ACTS OF KINDNESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Kindness is such a funny thing, isn't it? It's completely free of charge and yet it's something most of us (me, myself and I included) sometimes forget. Being kind to someone definitely isn't out of your pocket and being genuinely kind towards others will definitely make your journey to your destination feel so much better. So here I am, sharing 3 simple acts of kindness on Social Media. They don't take much time, but they're very effective. Are you up for a challenge?

"Kind words do not cost much.
Yet they accomplish much."

3 simple acts of kindness on social media

Support others to reach their goals
Whether it's a shoutout on the Instagram story, Follow Friday tweet on Twitter, a simple retweet - it can make someone's day.

Leave genuine comments
Genuine comments are something I adore the most. Some of the most genuine ones I've received on the blog are in my blog posts when I wrote about my entrance exam and stress, and what I learned from the experience and when I wrote about my upcoming breast reduction surgery (of which photos definitely need an update). Leaving a genuine comment on someones social can leave them feeling like they are valued and like they are listened to and like someone cares about them. After all, we're all humans on this side of the computer as well.

Compliment them
Tell them how well they've done reaching their goals. Congratulate them on reaching a goal or achieving something. Tell them they look nice. Kind words don't cost a thing and aren't out of your pockets of success.

How do you try to make Social Media a better place?
Oh right, one extra tip! If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

  2. Gosh I so agree with you - a little kindness can help a huge amount, and doesn't cost at all! I try my best to leave genuine comments on blogs, although I do need to do more things on Twitter to help spread the word of other people's work! Thanks so much for this.

  4. I think more people need to take note of a post like this. It takes barely any time at all to leave someone a genuine comment on instagram or their blog. If you like what you see, tell them. It'll make their day <3

  7. wise advice here Jasmin - I try to be kind and helpful to people - Like you I'd rather say something supportive (or say nothing at all). I've also distanced myself from people who like drama and I try not to fuel it (if I can;t avoid them). Also I keep secrets and don't gossip (people think its odd as I'm a chatty person but I only say what I want to say). love Bec

  9. I love this!! I often think about how hard it is to put yourself out there, on social media and while blogging, it can make you feel really vulnerable! Thank you for an excellent reminder to put a little extra kindness out there today! Charlie xo

  11. This is what I have always aimed for. And there are so many genuine individuals out there too <3 I so enjoy your updates and make sure to dm or message whenever I heartly feel like telling you something! But I have found so many who do follow and unfollow shit it ruins my day. I love empowering women and aim to be an empowering woman. This post felt amazing!

  15. You're very right, it's so easy to just be kind to people and to make them happier. It sometimes feels like social media is a horrible place but there are lots of lovely people too, and hopefully I can work on being one of them! I totally agree with your last line - people are so quick to voice negative thoughts but it's unnecessary! Avoiding arguments is the best way in my opinion.
