WHAT IS IT LIKE TO LIVE WITH A BLOGGER? | HUBBY WRITES

Today is quite a different Friday over here at the blog as I decided to give myself a day off and let my husband do the talking. So here you have it, J telling you what it is like to live with a blogger. Enjoy!
THE HUBBY WRITES: What is it like to live with a blogger?

If you google "What's it like to live with a blogger?" You get posts about what's it like to be a blogger or how to become a full-time blogger but no one's mentioning what's happening in the backstage behind the photos and the blog posts.
Well, I'll tell you.

Every blogger knows what I mean when I say that sometimes you have to be really creative to achieve what you are trying to get. I've seen some really interesting inventions that Jassy has made while I've been at work, I don't have photos to show you from everything I've seen but I try to paint you a picture from some of the best ones.

1.   Patching the ceiling or something?
If you're a regular visitor you might have seen a post about DIY top-down tip but when you're at work and you have no clue about what's happening at home it's a small surprise when you come home and see a piece of cardboard taped at our living room ceiling. Usually, I first try to think of some reasonable reason for these kinds of things but there really aren't many reasons to tape cardboard to the roof unless for some reason there would be a hole. Must say camera holder for taking top-down pictures was not on top of my list.
You can read the post from here.

2.   Did I step into a Saw movie?
This one's about top-down photos also but for Instagram.
So what do you do when you're home alone and you want to to get a top-down photo over your bed but all you have is a camera stand, loads of moving boxes and some string? Well, of course, a setup that makes your husband consider if it's safe or fatal to step into your bedroom.
All you need to do to achieve a perfect top-down photo is to stack moving boxes as many as needed to get the desired height for your photo and then lay your camera stand horizontally partly on top of it and partly supported by a string that's strapped behind an electrical cabinet.

3. Where's the third wheel when you need one?
We were visiting Jassy's mum about a week ago and we decided to take a walk at a nearby nature trail. Jassy was taking pictures along the way but the creativity really kicked in when we tried to take a picture of us together.
To get this photo:

You have to find a tree, a stick and a good 10 minutes of your time to balance your phone almost completely vertical timer ready leaning to the stick that's supported by the tree. Here are photos from the whole process.

If you liked this post let me know in the comments, I'm trying to take pictures more often from now on so maybe in the future I could write a part two of this backstage sneak peek.
Take care and have a good summer!

  7. this is an ace write up - I'm always having to do ridiculous things to take photos of flowers/outdoor adventures. Luckily I've got a digital camera with a remote view finder (via an app on my phone) which really helps - but that involves remembering the 'big' camera ;-) love Bec x
