TURNING THE SIDE TABLE FOUND FROM TRASH TO A WINE BOTTLE HOLDER

Ever since we got back from Norway, I've had this motivation for a change inside of me. Also, I've been inspired with plenty of new home projects (I'm growing potatoes on our balcony, for fuck's sake) and I'm absolutely loving this feeling. Last month, we had this large dumpster thingy in our yard where people were able to throw all the stuff they didn't need anymore or wanted to use anymore and while we were taking some of our trash in the dumpster (the leftovers from our renovation) I saw this cute side table in the corner of the dumpster.

It was like made for us, to be honest. I believe it has been a plant holder in its early days and when I picked it up it was filthy AF. After a quick wash with water and wood soap, it was as good as new. Though the paint scratched off a bit, though I think it suits it perfectly.

Oh, and do you remember those hangers for baby clothes I made back in January 2017? Six of them were re-used in this project, so everything is recycled when it comes to my new wine bottle holder. You know, sustainable living and all that jazz!

I'm really happy that I found it. It's perfect in our kitchen corner.
I don't usually go through dumpsters but I just wasn't able to leave it there when I knew I was able to find a perfect use for it.

How about you, have you found anything from the dumpster?

  5. Oh, that's super cute! And it's even better that you got is basically for free :) I'm always too lazy to find or buy anything used but it would for sure save a huge amount of money.
