POSTCARDS FROM KALAJOKI, FINLAND

PHEW! What a road trip we had. And yes, more about that later as for now I am here to share a quick stop from our journey to Lapland.

We stopped at Kalajoki and took a little morning walk on the beach when driving back home. Kalajoki is located in Western-Finland and its famous from its beach. Though I don't really know what I was expecting; but it definitely doesn't beat Yyteri beach in Pori, Finland. I'd say Kalajoki was a bit of a disappointment for me.

Kalajoki beach itself was beautiful. Though they are advertising it with their beautiful sandbanks and I didn't see any. So isn't it a time to update that slogan? The beach was flat as a pancake. So that was a disappointment. It was fun to walk by the beachline while D wanted to go in the water. He's such a beach boy!

    1. It depends on a day.
As I'm here in Finland every single day. Unless I'm traveling.
Thank goodness I'm able to travel, I'd lose my shit otherwise.

  5. This beach over there is simply amazing! It reminds me of the beach near my village, where I used to spend my Summers.

    1. It depends on a way, I think the pictures turned out prettier than the beach. Beach itself was a disappointment.

  6. Breathtaking photos - it has been a while since I my feet found the sand on a beach! I belong near the water & I only ever find real peace there!
