OUR KITCHEN | BEFORE & AFTER

I'm going to have to start this post by saying that our kitchen is far from finished yet. Yet, it has had a transformation that is clearly to be seen by the eye, so that is the main reason I'm already posting about it. Also, the things we need are the new dishwasher (not that the one we have now wouldn't work, but because it doesn't fit in our kitchen colour scheme at all). And also, we need the cover between the floor and the kitchen cabins. So those two things are on our to-do list and I believe in few months we'll get this thing ready. Let's move on to the transformation!

So, as you can see, we had three different shades of brown when it comes to the kitchen. The floor, the counter, that freaking panel under the top cabins. THREE DIFFERENT SHADES OF BROWN. I'm not a fan of brown, personally, so it was more than obvious that all had to go bye-bye.
Like in our other rooms, we started off changing the floor. We also ripped off the panel under the top cabins and everything looked a bit more fresh afterwards.

THE CHANGE IS HUGE. Like, really huge. We switched everything else than the actual cabins, dishwasher and the oven. Oh, and the sink is the old one too. Everything else had to go bye-bye.
We found that cute marble-a-like counter from Ikea (which was good, as the real marble costs like hell).
We also placed those tiles on the wall.

Even though it's not finished yet, I'm so happy with the transformation. Also, as the kitchen is very small itself - it feels a lot more spacey after the renovation.

What do you think?

  1. it looks more sleek and modern. I really like brown but in such small space it was really helpful to take it off.The best is that you are happy with it.
BTW: after seeing your "fake bubble sink" photos I imagined how big and modern your kitchen must be:D I would have never imagined this tiny (but cute) space:) good job.
