Sleep deprivation is the condition of not having enough sleep.
This Halloween I'm definitely going (here at home probably) as a sleep deprived mum. Which is, pretty accurate as even though we've been so lucky that D isn't waking us up through the nights, I'm so freaking tired all the time. Guess why? Because I'm an idiot and I can't get myself to bed early on the evenings.

I'm one of these types of persons who feel extremely inspired and full of life in the evenings. I'm a night owl and having that type of personality and baby that wakes up around 5-7 in the morning is pretty toxic combo when thinking about it. I know exactly what my problem here is and I know how to fix it and I'm so stupid for not doing so.

SO, I've gotten to the point where I'm like a zombie (read: mombie) throughout the days. I run with coffee and by the evening I'm pretty much more awake than in the morning and then I can't sleep. So any tips and tricks would be pretty amazing & if you've got any - please, please do recommend some in the comment box down below.

- L'Oréal Infallible 24h-Matte foundation in shade "Ivory"
- Isadora Perfect Coverstick in shade "01 Light"
- Baby Powder as a powder
- Makeup Revolution London Fortune Favours The Brave palette
- Pürminerals Impact+ Mascara

1. Apply the foundation to your face and neck.
2. Baby powder it all!
3. Use the coverstick on your lips and add some brown eyeshadow to your lips.
4. Make yourself look tired with using the same brown eyeshadow you used before.
5. Contour with the same brown eyeshadow to make yourself look a bit more dead.
6. Apply mascara, do your hair and you're good to go.

What are you going as this Halloween? Have you planned out anything yet?

  1. I have not planned Anything but this look would fit me so well since I am not sleeping at all being a mom haha

  2. Hahaha, accurate and a little different Halloween look. :) I think we're not going to any Halloween parties this year (too much university and work stuff going on) but probably I'll just do some makeup looks at home just for fun.

  3. I'll say it again... I know it's a Halloween look but to me it looks like a runway fashion week type look :D haha... You did a great job!

  4. You did amazing work Jasmin! coffee gives you energy but then again, doesn't let you sleep later. so, when i suffer from insomnia, i try not to sleep for 24 hours. the next evening i will fall asleep in a few minutes and i ll wake up fresh early in the morning.

  5. Although I’m not a mother, I am basically an insomniac! I reckon I could get away with this look myself..

  6. I'm not a mum but I feel the same way I can be really tired and go to bed early but then can't get to sleep for a few hours later because my brain just can't switch off. I am not dressing up for Halloween here as it's not as big of a thing in Australia x

  7. Oh, tell me about not finding the way to bed. I used to work most of my life night times, and even after 4 years out of biz, I still go to bed around 4ish in the morning. Bad, I know. But I think, our body determines it's own rythm. You've done a brilliant job on your make-up. At first sight I really shocked, how worn and tired you looked. LOL

  8. You still look beautiful and not like a zombie at all. Although I can appreciate about you not being able to get enough sleep. I could always use more.

  9. Please try and get a good sleep my friend, it is very important. I am pretty much the same. Given that it is not really healthy, I've decided from next year, things will change. I will make sure I go to bed very early. I really need to stop the bad habit of finding something to do (blogging, research, phone calls) late in the night and go to bed early.

Its 01:00 am in the morning here by the way loooool.

  10. Hahaha I really love this idea and find it both so creative and original! Really love it and you did it so well. Your sense of humour is always spot on!
