First of all, thank you so much for sending me questions! I thought it would be a fun way to get to know to me better and especially if there was something you wanted to know about me or about the way I see things. It's easier to answer questions that are about something you'd like to know!

What is it like living in Helsinki?
- I love living in Helsinki, it's such a freeing feeling when knowing that nobody hasn't got a clue who you are.

What do you like most about living in Helsinki?
- I like the fact that it's super rare to someone you know walk across the street. That's lovely. And Helsinki accepts you just the way you are if comparing to a small town where I'm from.

Where is your favourite place in Helsinki?
- Stockmann Roof Terrace was the one before they turned it into a restaurant. It used to be such a lovely place to spend a lunch with co-workers.

What are your favourite places to visit in Finland?
- Pori, Tampere & Lapland in general just to mention a few.

Why did you start a blog?
- I used to dance 6 days/week and after I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis I wasn't able to follow the ultimate dream of being a professional dancer so I needed another hobby.

What would be your advice for new bloggers out there?
- Whatever you do, make sure it makes you happy.

What do you think of a male fashion blogger?
- It's good to have male bloggers in the blogging industry. I think it's just amazing, no matter the niche, male bloggers are always welcome & good change.

Where do you see your blog in five years time?
- I hope I'm able to turn this to something that I'll earn some pocket money from, but I could not imagine this as a job. Or who knows? I'm not sure. This blog might still be going or it might be gone. I haven't planned that far yet, I like to live in a moment.

When was the last time you did something for the first time?
- That's a good question. I'd say it was back in July when I visited some of J's relatives for the first time in Sweden (they've always come to Finland) and I got my very first tattoo last summer.

How do you balance work life/family/blogging?
- I don't know. My husband has a quite a big role in everything, he looks after Dino whilst I'm writing.

Do you want to live in any other country in the future?
- YES.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
- I'd go to Maldives. I have to visit there before the water level rises so up it's impossible.

Are you going back to work someday soon?
- AH, not for a long time. My maternity leave ends next month but we've got a possibility to stay home for a little longer if we want (and have less allowance) but because of the surgery and all, I don't feel like there's any sense to get back to work for a month or so and then spend another month back home on a sick leave. Also, call me old-fashioned but I don't want to put D in the daycare before he's at least 1,5 years old so I would have spent little more time at home anyway.

Which is more painful, biting your tongue mistakenly or hitting your tiny toe against a hard surface?
- Definitely the toe one.

What would you ask yourself if you had the opportunity to ask?
- Ah, there are multiple questions I'd like to ask from myself but none of them is anything that I could share here.

What was the biggest surprise for you about motherhood?
- I don't know if I had any surprises really. I've been looking after my little brother since he was a newborn so nothing new in that department but if I'd mention one thing that surprised me is how Finnish mums want to put everyone in this same box. If you've got something going better, you must be lying. If your kid doesn't wear branded clothes you're poor and god bless if your kid has been fed with the formula you've ruined him. That's why I don't attend any groups, I don't want to be labelled as a bad mum because I do things differently.

What do you find most challenging with parenthood & blogging?
- Finding the time to write and oh, energy. Been a bit tired lately!

Who's going to stay with Dino after you return to work?
- I'm putting him in daycare.

Has Dino said anything yet?
- No, he has not! Maybe soon!

What was it like to enter into the first stage of parenthood?
- It was exciting.

  1. I enjoyed reading this. Would looove to visit Helsinki, so lucky you live there!

    1. Hahah, you definitely should visit here one day! I can be your guide :-)

  2. What a great post, I love these posts because you get to find out more about the blogger behind the blogs. I loved how you broke up the questions into categories too x

    1. Haha thanks! I thought it was easier that way :-)

  3. Living in Finland sounds absolutely perfect, I love that you don't really run into people I like the sound of it! I loved your answer to the male bloggers too x

    Kayleigh Zara 🌿

    1. We need more male bloggers here tbh! x

  4. Wow I had no idea you had to give up dancing because of arthiritis. Well, you made a great move with blogging. I enjoy your posts.

    1. I'm happy to hear that :-) Yeah, I could dance but I'm more like a person who's into things 110% instead of giving in 45% so in the future I might start again if I'm able to come to terms with the fact that I won't be able to dance like I used to.

  5. I loved reading this little Q&A especially the blog section!
    Sarah x

  6. I'm glad for Dino you decided to stay home a little longer to take care of him. That's a smart decision.

    1. Yeap, don’t want to put him into daycare just yet.

  7. Oh I was waiting for that :) Great answers, I really like Finland and it seems, that living there is quite nice :) I also get to know more about you trough this post :)

  8. Loved getting to know you more! I want to visit the Maldives soon as well... So expensive though :'(

    1. It’s super expensive! But we’ve planned to spend our 10th anniversary there :D

  9. A Very cool interview. It's nice that you can be somewhere that you are accepted as you are and you don't have to worry about what others think of you.

  10. Oh, hello there!

I don't know how I missed this post... but it's so good to get to know you a little bit better!

    Greetings from Slovenia!

    1. Hahaa, I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the post :-)

  11. I loved this post. Very open.

  12. What a wonderful post and what a great idea to create a Q&A post, it really gets your audience to know you a little bit better. Every time I get to see one of your lovely photos with you and Dino on I always get fascinated by your home decoration :) , your cushions are cool! I've met quite a lot Scandinavian people over here, I can work out if they are Swedish or Danish e.g. and I can get a clue out of what they are talking, although I don't really understand their language. But Finish? Oh dear... somebody told me once how to say 'I love you' in Finish. It sounded rather like threatening. I would love to travel to Scandinavia. Doing a 3-4 weeks trip through the countries would be cool. As I heard is your economy and social security pretty good as well. Things like kid's daycare are a huge problem in Germany, it is hard to find a place and so many young mother's won't be able to go back to work after there maternity time. Helsinki sounds like a good place to be!

    1. Helsinki sure is a good place to be, at least for now :-) I love you in Finnish is ”Minä rakastan sinua” :D
