THE AVOCADO PROJECT #2

SO! I've named the avocado seed from the previous Avocado Project - post, and his name is now Herbert. Lovely Zana suggested Mandy & after a week Herbert got a friend called Mandy, so welcome to the lives of Mandy and Herbert.
They have two other buddies as well, but they'll get along if Mandy or Herbert dies. So. Let's roll!

I'm making these updates on my Instagram Stories so you might want to go and follow me in case you'd like to have updates more often about these things.
Herbert hasn't changed much in three weeks but Mandy started to crack. I was 100% sure Mandy was gone but I have no clue how avocados work so I let her be in her glass.

5 weeks in the glass & Herbert hasn't made an effort to go to a way or another but Mandy seems to be in a hurry. It usually takes 2-12 weeks for an avocado to create a root for itself and when the root is around 10cm long you can plant it into the soil. So Mandy is definitely on its way to the soil & turning into a houseplant.

Only in five weeks, Mandy had grown up so much it deserved a bigger jar to grow even more. Unfortunately, Hebert had to get out of the picture at this point as nothing seemed to happen and I kind of gave up on him.

So everyone, meet Bianca! Bianca has done so well for the first two weeks of its life.

I'm here, waiting for them to grow up enough so I can put them in the soil.

    1. I highly recommend! Though, these don't produce new avocado's, unless you let it grow to a tree :-)
