MARCH VIA INSTAGRAM

Whole March just flew by, straight in front of my face and I don't really know did I accomplish anything. Oh well, I did apply to the school for the 4th time so I guess that was one of my biggest accomplishments but seriously, feels like I didn't have time to do anything last month. It just flew by.
The second one of my accomplishments last month must be the fact that I've finally found a theme to my Instagram. It happened pretty accidental way too. I was chatting with my friend, Dora (check out her Instagram btw), who happens to be in the somewhat same kind of a situation with me. She introduced to me Lightroom presets, that you can download from the Internet for free & some people even make their own presets and sell them. GOSH, I'm so thankful for her as I found a "filter" that suits to all my pictures and yet keeps my feed flowing nicely as all of them have the similar elements in them.

I don't know if I that was what I was actually looking because after finding a perfect preset for me everything with my Instagram started to feel right to me. That's pretty fucking lovely if you ask me.

March started without the Lightroom preset. It was the before I actually started for looking anything that would tie my feed together and I don't know. I love these pictures but I would not hesitate to repost them tagging #TBT and with the new preset.

At the beginning of the month, we celebrated D's 1st birthday, with the Mickey Mouse - theme. It was lovely, but considering that I had written down to the invite the time as "14:00->" I thought that the arrow after the time would point out that you don't have to be present at sharp 2pm. Everyone was behind our door at 2, so I'm definitely going to play with the clock next year and tell different people different times, as it doesn't seem to work here like it does work back at home. Here people seem to actually show up at the time marked to the invite so my bad, cultural issue between people from where I come from and people who happen to be right in time in different places.

I also did a lovely collab with Printiki this month & you know, if you want the shipping off from your order you can go and try if the code at the post still works.

HERE COMES THE THEME! Doesn't it tie all the pictures together nicely? I think it does. It doesn't change a lot the actual picture (which I personally love as I don't want to edit my pictures too much, just change some brightness here and there) and I'm absolutely loving it.

I also did a bunch of throwbacks to Stockholm, Berlin & that picture where J and I are kissing, it was freaking four years ago? Like, how? Though all I want back from 2014 is my hair and that's pretty much about it. Looking through old pictures whilst searching the inspiration is such an eye-opening moment. At the moment I'm basically just a shadow from what I used to be. I've lost a shitload of weight, my hair is a bit shorter and my breasts are gone (thank fuck). I really like the way I am now, so I'm definitely not going back to the girl who bought chocolate bar & juice every day after school and ate it on the way walking home.

I ate ice cream for the first time for a year or so. I thought it was worth to put on the gram, especially when my hubby has been the one who took the pictures! He's done such a great job considering our trip to Norway in May. Yeah, we booked such a lovely Airbnb in Tromsø of which I'm super excited about. Though it means 16 hours in a car, I'm sure we'll do just fine now when D has managed to you know, to get used to car journeys. Either way, we won't be driving 16 hours straight up to North. We're stopping by at my mum's to drop off the guinea pigs and stay a night there, then we stop in Oulu and stay a night in another lovely Airbnb we found and the same happens on our way back home. But yay, my hubby can take pictures that even I like - finally.

In general, March was a pretty good month. Even though we didn't manage to do as many things we planned to do but the next few months will be so busy that I'm already waiting for June to wind off a little. How was your March?

  9. Lovely post. And that insta of yours looks amazing! My theme is mostly just posting photos in my blogs theme colors and keeping it light and pinkish ahaha. Some kind of preset could make it easier though. My March was quite busy in a different way - a lot of traveling and healing from my surgery have been the themes for it.
