CHILD FAIR | 2204-240418 @ HELSINKI, FINLAND

PHEW, what a weekend we're having behind of us. I'm actually really looking forward to the next one, as it's the last chill weekend before our travels. Although, I'm not here to tell you about our travels. I'm here to tell you about the Child Fair which was held at the Messukeskus Helsinki last weekend. And I also managed to drag my dear friend Petra with me, so it was twice as fun!

Child Fair, also known as Lapsimessut is a fair event held at convention centre called Messukeskus annually. It usually takes place during April and this is the first time I managed to get myself out there. Last time I had a newborn, so I wasn't really in a mood to go there and well, times before that I didn't even have children so I didn't have any interest in this event.

There are plenty of brands showing off their items & selling them with a small discount for the customers who are going to the fair. It was actually quite fun to see what kind of clothing brands there are for children - I'm not that mum who is dressing her children to the latest designs of Gugguu, Papu or Mini Rodini and even though D has some of their clothes, they've found their way to us bought as used.

There were plenty of Done by Deer products as well, and if you've been following my blog for a while now you know how obsessed I am with Done by Deer. It's actually ridiculous how far it's gone, almost everything in D's room is from that brand. If you want to have a look what D's room looks like, you might want to take a look at the post I wrote about how D's room looks like after the renovation.

Dadamora Design, on the other hand, was a brand I haven't heard of before and it was actually refreshing to find something ethically made and organic with such a low price. I mean, low price compared to other toddler design clothes. I linked their Instagram at the beginning of this paragraph - you might want to take a look at it.

At the fair, I also found the best potato chips I've ever tasted. Petra and I bought some together in half and we're actually eating them at the very moment I am writing this post. I hate myself for not taking their name up so I could give them a proper introduction but damn, these taste so fucking great.

Petra was also tasting all the different food there was for children and I actually bought quite a lot of food home from there haha.

We walked 7 kilometres on Saturday and I can still feel it on my legs. I think I'm going to attend this fair next year as well, it was surprisingly fun even though I feel a bit anxious whenever I go to crowded places. Didn't manage to see anyone I knew though! Except for the girl who went to same upper secondary school with me, she was a cashier at one stand.

I've highlighted the fair over at my Instagram - so head over there if you want to see what I bought! ;)
