JUNIOR SUITE | CLARION HOTEL HELSINKI

So, this is what I got J for his birthday - night at the hotel. And holy crap that hotel room, suite was amazing. I booked us one-night stay at Clarion Hotel Helsinki, which is the new hotel in Jätkäsaari. It was definitely a worth of the splurge, considering that the night in this suite cost 296€.

The room was absolutely stunning. If there was something to change, I'd change the carpet in the bedroom but otherwise, it was 6/5 room. I think I say this about every hotel I've stayed in, but the bed was definitely one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept on. We've stayed at Clarion Hotel once before, in Stockholm but for some weird reason, I didn't write anything about the hotel on my blog last summer. Odd, I have no clue what my plan was! They had such a comfy bed too!

For me, it's super important to have a bathtub in the hotel room where I stay in. It's a perfect self-care ritual for me. I pop by over at Lush, then fill the bath with warm water and drop one of those lovely bath bombs in. It's just pure perfection.
And talking about Rituals, (pun intended), Clarion Hotel Helsinki had all the lovely Rituals products in their rooms. They had put them there six days before our visit, so I'd say we were pretty lucky. There was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash and the best of all - moisturiser.

The view from the room was also stunning. We were in a lucky position where we had the corner room and we had both views; to the sea and to the Helsinki rooftops.
Our room was on 14th floor and the hotel itself has 16 floors in total. Damn, that's high.

What do you most expect from a hotel room? If comfy bed doesn't count.
Ours filled all our expectations.

  1. Happy belated birthday to J! What a fab present idea and the Clarion hotel looks amazing, those views! To me, a comfy bed, coffee maker and cleaniness are very important, followed by ambiance and friendliness. And a bathtub is a huge bonus :)

  2. Lucky man! This hotel looks amazing. I love that they have big shampoo and soap bottles - much less wasteful than the small disposable ones!
