EASING TEETHING TERRORS WITH MATCHSTICK MONKEY*

Feels like D has popped out another tooth after another and that's how he's been acting lately. Ah, teething, don't we all love it so so much? We've gone through all from sugarfree homemade popsicles to rolling different teething toys in the fridge and D's hand. Funny thing is, D doesn't get the fever - he just becomes insanely grumpy.

D was super lucky and received a MatchstickMonkey teether to test. It was like a Christmas after Christmas. We got one in blue, which most of D's toys are. D was super excited and keeps carrying it everywhere he goes, so goodbye all the new toys he got for Christmas? We're good with a MatchstickMonkey.

FIRST IMPRESSION
It's flipping adorable, that's what it is. It looks like it's a good quality and it actually is, BPA free, FDA free and CE certified food grade silicone. So it won't release any bad items to your child's system. That's something I value in a product a lot. It's important to get those things away from your little ones.
The styling is fabulous, it got a perfect handle where the baby can hold on to and well, it's easy to carry in your mouth as well. Don't ask, D does that. He carries everything in his mouth which makes me wonder if he's a puppy or a human being. There are little toothbrush bumps on behind which I think are good for itchy gums. I can only imagine how annoying it is when your gums are itchy, no wonder he's so grumpy. Their website actually says that I can also add some teething gel to the bumps and massage it to his itchy gums to find the spot where the pain is and ease the pain that way and it's actually going for a test with us if normal chewing isn't helping to ease his pain.

D'S OPINION IN MUM'S POINT OF THE VIEW
D loves it. He keeps chewing it all the time and carries it with him everywhere he goes. It's insane how he fell love with it at the first sight, though he loves everything that's small and easy to carry around in his mouth whilst crawling.

HAS IT HELPED US?
Now, after a couple weeks of using it (aka D chewing it), I think I'm going to say it actually has helped a lot. Those bumps back on that monkey's head have been the part D has chewed the most and compared to our other teethers it's been insanely good for his gums. It seems like it's helping to ease the pain as there aren't that kind of bumps in other teethers we have.

MatchstickMonkey was born when a mum called Katie was struggling with her eldest teething and I think she's one hell of a creative woman. MatchstickMonkeys come in different styles, the basic one we have which is priced £9,99 and the dancing one which is priced at £14,95.
Check out their website here and read their whole story of how it all began.

Also, a massive thank you for Romilia at Neat PR for making this all to happen.

How about you, have you got your hands on the MatchstickMonkey yet?

    1. He’s so lucky. Though, he becomes so insanely grumpy at times that sometimes I kind of wish he had fever to wind off his speed for a little :D

  4. How cute is that?! Man, I feel like baby stuff has come such a long way. Not that I remember being a baby, but I don't think we had anything half as cool. Hahah!

  5. That is the cutest teether I have seen! We got the banana teether for my little man when he was teething but that thing caught every piece of hair and lint around. Does this one do that?

    1. Not that I would’ve noticed, though if it gets something in it it’s easy to wash :-)

  6. Seems like a great tool for little kids. Lucky he doesn't get fever, most of the kids really suffer.
