11 MONTHS | DINO

The picture above tells exactly how D felt about his 11-month photo shoot earlier. He's become this stubborn young man who doesn't take shit from anyone, which I think is cool but my heart breaks a little when he doesn't want to be in the pictures anymore. Maybe it's just a phase, don't you think? I want to believe it's a phase.
I can't believe that this time next month my bubba will officially step out of the baby zone and head to the toddler zone. This time next month he'll be a one-year-old. So, where did this time go and how do I feel like I missed everything that has happened? Been thinking more and more of his newborn days and actually tried to smell his head multiple times but the baby smell is gone by the wind. It's replaced with his dinner, porridge and milk.

So how D has developed? He knows how to stand up without any support - he doesn't though. It's all in his head I think, he's become so good at standing up and walking with the support that he sometimes forgets to take the support of different things. He can stand up on the sofa, get distracted and let go - still be standing. Yah, I'm sure, it's all in his head.

D also knows how to climb up to the sofa. Oh wow, nothing is safe on the sofa anymore. The minute he sees someone is sitting on the floor next to the sofa he uses them to climb up there. On 22nd he climbed up completely by himself. He's also tried to climb up to our tv-stand using the drawers under it and even though it looks extremely dangerous I always try to take a picture to send for J if these things happen when he's at work. Thank goodness he hasn't hurt himself yet haha!

D's favourite foods are potatoes, carrots & meat mixed together. He also loves the mix of broccoli and rice & the mix of meat and pasta. The toasted bread is his ultimate favourite and it's usually his dessert after the meal haha. We have also started tasting human food - not the baby food, but the food we eat on a daily basis to get him used to a normal food and the way we season things. It's been a success so far, our foods seem to go down for him better nowadays than his own food. That's good. We haven't tested out milk products yet, but we've planned to get some unseasoned yoghurt for him to try out.

Teething has been pretty bad this month, I mean - holy crap. He's pushing two teeth out on the top front and it has been such a pain. D doesn't get any fever when he's teething, he just becomes this insanely grumpy old grandpa when he's not in a mood for anything. So yeah, past few weeks have been a bit rough but thank goodness his teething doesn't affect his night sleeping & he wakes up only once per night if even that. Can you believe it, 4 teeth in a month - must be a bit painful for him! Though, if they keep popping out this speed this whole teething thing will be over soon. 4 done, 16 left - let's do this.

We have planned for a little weekend getaway for the three of us in Stockholm, don't know when we're leaving yet as plans might change but I'm more than excited to spend a day in Stockholm. A little bit less excited to spend Friday and Sunday on a ship though. But the ship is the easiest one for us to travel there at the moment - we haven't managed to figure out how flying works with the little ones just yet and I think it's more comfortable for D to get across by the ship.

Phew, what a month! Can't believe next thing I'll be writing is his 1-year-update. What is life even? Where is my baby?
