BREAKFAST PORRIDGE | 3 WAYS

Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day, or so the say. I've been trying to learn this whole new breakfast thing, just to be an example for Dino. It feels kind of odd to make porridge, but I'm trying to learn how to - just for Dino's sake. I won't be eating porridge ever in my life, though, I've got too many bad experiences which I can open up later if you like to hear.
You must be wondering how I'm able to share three ways for the breakfast porridge with you then, right? Well, like with the food I cook with meat on it, my husband is my guinea pig. As I don't eat meat either. So he has tested all of these and he approves. Let's roll to those three ways you can have your breakfast porridge.

PORRIDGE
(serves 2)

Ingredients:
- 3dl oatmeal
- 5dl water

1. Heat the water until it's boiling.
2. Mix in the oatmeal.
3. Let it boil for 1 minute.
4. Simmer under the lid for two minutes.

  1. Yum! I love to have my oatmeal with some blueberries and honey - especially when it's cold outdoors that's a great breakfast. :) Another good one is raspberries and dark chocolate, when the chocolate melts on the hot oats it's super delicious. Nowadays I'm too lazy to do oatmeal at morning, instead I've fallen in love with healthy banana pancakes spiced with some cardamon and cinnamon. If you want to try, you can find my recipe here: https://dreamerachiever.com/2017/04/12/my-new-breakfast-favorite-super-delicious-and-healthy-sugar-free-banana-pancakes/

  6. The things we do for kids eh.... I'm not a big fan of porridge and given my background, it is not on my top list of favorite food. Just like yourself, I've learnt how to make it for those that can't do without it in the family. You are doing a great job as they ll look beautiful and healthy.

  9. Try to add roasted nuts, goji berries, coconut slices, and cacao nibs to mix it up a bit. If you get tired of honey, try agave or maple sirup. I like to add sweetness with pureed berries :) It will level up your porridge meals ;)

  10. This looks so good! I'm so lazy in the mornings, usually I'll have cereal or an apple... Now I have to change up the habit because I have a little baby that I have to feed!
