HOW DO I RELAX AT HOME?

Relaxing is super important, if not for your physical health (which it is) but most certainly for your mental health. It's good to stop and sit down at a times. Today I decided to share with you how I relax at home.

FACE MASK
I usually hang around in the apartment in my pyjamas and with a face mask on. My personal favourites are Don't Look At Me or Cup O'Coffee from Lush, they never disappoint me. They're both super fresh and just the idea of having one on my face is quite relaxing at the moment already.

JUNK FOOD
It's my guilty pleasure. I love junk food, whether it's pizza or french fries - I'm in. I'm actually eating some french fries at the moment as I'm writing this. Get in me carbs!

LONG SHOWERS
I like to be environmental and sit in the shower for an hour or so just to think about life and its ups and downs. That environmental part was pure sarcasm, just to let you know. I'm feeling bad about this so that's why I recycle.

COOKING
I love cooking. Even though I'm super picky with what I eat I love to try new things in the kitchen and make J be my guinea pig. Usually, he loves all my cookings or maybe he just doesn't say if there's something wrong? Who knows, it's super relaxing.

WRITING
I tend to write in the evenings. It's a perfect way to switch off and roll the day's events in the head.

SAUNA
I'm not able to go to sauna at the moment and after my surgery, I won't be able to do so either, so when the month without going to sauna ends - I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can before I'm grounded again for a couple of months.

How do you relax at home? Taking baths? Anything else?

  2. If I want to relax, I like to bake or plan future bakes. I'm currently thinking about my Halloween baking which is both fun and relaxing. I also love to cross stitch, as old lady-like as that sounds. There's something so therapeutic about pushing the needle in and out of the fabric and creating an image. I've been working on a large calendar with magical creatures on for over a year now, so while it's taking me soooo long to finish, it's still very soothing. Great post! P.S. that chunky knit blanket is GORGEOUS.

  12. When I need to relax I definitely prefer a hot bath instead of a shower, I pour some salts, light some scented candles on and listen to some music - I also love reading and painting, they relax me a lot.
Junk food and face masks are a must too!

  17. Neat list. I personally opt for cooking, yoga and meditation practice when I'm home. Yoga and meditation practice are also part of my morning routine.

Another things besides writing, which I so less in the evening, is casual reading.

The most relaxing thing on my list is catching up with my wife.
