DINO’S 1ST SHIP TRIP | TURKU-STOCKHOLM

On the 18th of July, we woke up at 3:30 in the morning and started our drive to Port of Turku. Fun fact: J had told me that the ship will be leaving at 7:15 in the morning and we should be there two hours before because we had a car and we were driving it into the ship. Long story short, I looked those tickets 20 minutes before we arrived in Turku and found out that our ship was leaving at 8:15 in the morning instead of 7:15. Gosh, he heard so much about that inconvenience because we had only slept two hours before leaving at my mother's house.

We spent that extra hour over at the gas station nearby the port and we arrived at the check in line two hours before the ship was about to leave. We had to wait there quite a while but D was a brave little man and handled the waiting time pretty well.

When we finally got into the ship we walked straight to the info desk because we had not booked the cabin for us and we wanted to have one now especially after two-hour sleep at night. We got the cabin as they keep some there as an extra and we took naps there each time D fell asleep.
Dino absolutely fell in love with the bed in the cabin. He was laying on his stomach and made those happy screams he does when he gets super excited - I'm really glad we took the cabin after all.

The trip went pretty nice and smooth. Although I had a little bit of nausea during those 11 hours we spent on the ship and I was not that excited about our trip back to Finland - on the same ship.
We also ate in the Grill House restaurant which was on the boat. It was a funny situation - we made sure that D was tired and he would be sleeping. Well, he slept as long as we got our plates on the table. So we took turns eating & hanging out with him.

The trip went pretty quickly now when thinking about it and it's good that it did. I'm really not a ship person but D seemed to have a lot of fun and that's all that matters.
