100 PLACES I WANT TO VISIT BEFORE I DIE | PART 1

The travel bug has bitten me and it has bitten me hard. The best part of the whole situation is that I really don't have any money to travel at the moment, like further than Sweden so I decided to gather around this little series I call "100 places I want to visit before I die", of course, there are probably plenty more that aren't going to be mentioned but I'll be listing 100 places where I'd love to travel, at the moment.

TROMSO, NORWAY

I've always wanted to drive as North as I can drive so this would be a perfect place to make a road trip. Actually, my co-worker Maija and her best friend did so last Summer so that might affect to me a little and my reasons why I want to visit there before I die. I was told that it's very beautiful there and as you can see from the pictures I dug up from the Internet it sure is a beautiful place.

From Helsinki, you drive there for almost 17 hours so it's a two-day drive if you want to stay sane haha! Would be great to do a trip there one day, though. Maybe when D is a bit older, I bet he wouldn't want to spend most of his day in a car seat.

OSLO, NORWAY

Since I was little I've always wanted to see the beautiful fjords of Oslo, so I sure do hope I'll manage to travel there some day. Or well, Norway in general. It's so flippin' close it's crazy that I haven't been there already. I mean, we share a little border with Norway, that's how close it is.

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

Copenhagen would also be an amazing to see! It's also ridiculously close like Oslo, but I still haven't managed to travel there. I want to do all the clichés and see the Little Mermaid and go to Legoland. Is Legoland in Copenhagen? Well, it's in Denmark anyways.

REYKJAVIK, ICELAND

I've always wanted to visit Iceland. See Reykjavik's gorgeous colourful buildings, see all the ice. Everything, the whole package. We actually planned a trip for this Autumn to go to Iceland but we had to give up our plan to make it happen this year because Dino is way too small to visit Blue Lagoon. Blue Lagoon is the must visit for us, and age limit there is kids over 2 years, so Dino is not quite a two-year-old yet. Or wait, would they buy it if we cheated a little? Probably not haha!
So in few years, we're definitely going to visit Iceland! Everything's planned, now we just have to wait that Dino is old enough.

PÄRNU, ESTONIA

Pärnu has always been on my bucket list and even though Estonia is pretty close to Finland, I've managed to visit there once and that was a freaking long time ago. They had their own money currency back then (now they've got euros). Time just seems to fly!

MARIEHAMN, ÅLAND

You know the feeling when you're a part of the country you don't want to be par of? That's what Åland is. They're an autonomic state, a part of Finland (although, I've heard that they would prefer to be  a part of Sweden, which I completely understand - I wouldn't want to be a part of Finland either, but blah, I am.) So yeah, Åland is in the middle of two countries, Finland and Sweden.

I've visited there once, on 6th grade with our class and I had so much fun! I wish to travel there again because basically, all I saw was Taffel chips factory (god I loved it there) and that little camping area we stayed in. I feel that Åland and Mariehamn have so much more to offer and yes, I'd like to revisit Taffel as well. Damn those chips are delicious.

I wasn't able to find any blog posts in English about this, only in Swedish and Finnish but hey - maybe when we'll visit there one day I'll make a couple of blog posts!

KALAJOKI, FINLAND

Oh, sweet Finland, beloved home country of mine. Yah.
There are a couple of places I'd like to visit here, but I only chose to include two places in Finland for this travel series (and no, I don't count Åland to Finland, if you know what I mean.)
So Kalajoki sands, there I'd like to visit. I've never been there, although, I'm pretty sure that beach doesn't beat Yyteri beach.

PORVOO, FINLAND

I've visited Porvoo once in my life. It's about an hour of drive away from where I live at the moment and I would really, really love to take a trip down there and just take pictures. It's such a beautiful city with all the pretty wooden houses!

VISBY, GOTLAND, SWEDEN

I really don't have any proper reason why I'd like to visit here and basically, I believe that the pictures tell it all!
