Pyry
- thick snowfall.
Dino's first name is Pyry.
The meaning behind the name is very simple, at the time I was pushing him out of me, it was snowing like crazy. And well, I've always wanted to name my kid Pyry, so that's the name he got.
Let's start off with food! Why? Because food is always good haha. If you consider cakes and cupcakes as food (and I do) so yeah, let's talk about food. I baked three cakes because I wasn't able to choose how I would decorate one large one. So well, we ended up having only two cakes just because at the very second I was finished decorating the last one, it fell off the table. I was so ready to quit with everything at that very second. Felt like everything I tried to do for this party, I was failing successfully at. I'm going to share a couple of recipes this month (for those cakes) and if you want to make those tasty tomato-cheese squares - check my recipe over here.
Even though all seemed to go wrong from the very beginning we started doing something for this party, we still had a great time. It was a family party, which meant that we had our closest family members at our house. Including a couple of our friends, because we're the ones who think that good friends are just as much as a family as the family itself.
Thank you, Marko, for taking pictures at the party!
EDIT 11/04/17: So many of you have asked
how the name Pyry is pronounced. That's a great
question. Pyry is Finnish name and here in Finland,
we pronounce everything the way it's written.
The thing is, letter Y is pronounced differently
in Finnish than it's in English, so I'm having
a hard time to find a word in English where it sounds
the same haha!
This looks like you had an amazing party! And that food looks delicious :)
