CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH BABY BLUE WHITE CHOCOLATE GANACHE

As I mentioned earlier, I had a bit trouble deciding which cake to bake for the name giving party we held for Dino little over a week ago. So I did two and this is the first one of them. I absolutely love baking and especially when it comes to decorating, cakes are my favourite.

Personally, I'm not that into eating cakes but chocolate cake is something that I'm willing to eat as well. So here's my favourite chocolate cake recipe, filled with vanilla-white chocolate finning, coated with white vanilla buttercream and with some blue white chocolate ganache dropped on top.

CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH BABY BLUE WHITE CHOCOLATE GANACHE

CHOCOLATE CAKE

- 225g butter
- 2,5dl sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2,5dl flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1dl cocoa powder

1. Butter & breadcrumb the cake pan and
preheat the oven to 160°C degrees.

2. Melt the butter. Mix the sugar and eggs with a wooden fork.
Add in the butter. Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl &
then mix them with butter and stuff.

3. Bake in the oven for ~30 minutes.
Let it cool down before filling and decorating.

VANILLA BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

Find the recipe I shared for this earlier from here.
Cut the filling in half and colour the other half with blue food colouring.
Fill the chocolate cake with blue half and coat the cake with the white half.

BLUE WHITE CHOCOLATE GANACHE

- 300g white chocolate
- 1dl whipping cream / heavy cream
- blue food colour

Cut the white chocolate into pieces.
Mix the cream with it.
Melt them in the microwave oven, carefully, though!
Add the food colour and mix.
Pour it over the top of your cake and let it drop from the sides.

  5. Sounds yummy! Maybe if you'd let the ganache set up a bit before pouring it on the cake it might have looked even better? I'm a huge perfectionist what comes to the visual side of my baking but I guess the taste is the thing that actually matters. :) And thanks for the recipe!

    1. Yeah! I let it settle for a good while before pouring it on the cake but I guess I should have add more chocolate when I did this. Had a bit too much cream I guess :D fixed it on the recipe though!

  6. This cake looks delicious and the recipe seems super easy to make as well. I was supposed to do some baking over the long weekend but that clearly did not happen. Maybe I can try this recipe out next weekend.
