As you might know, one of my goals for 2017 is to up my blog photography game (okay, who's isn't?) and I decided to start it with scrolling through ideas via Pinterest.
There are two things I've never done - thought of photo props and scrolled through Pinterest.
I felt that these kinds of posts have been helping me, so why wouldn't I share with you what I've learned during these past months of scrolling and sucking the inspiration?
FLOWERS, PLANTS, GREENERY
These are quite popular things to set on the background of pictures and the best part? You usually find these from your home. I found mine pretty much dead because as much as I love plants I guess I don't love them enough to remember I've got ones. They all end up dead. So if you plan to invest in any of these, keep them somewhere you remember they do exist.
I've got a huge collection of necklaces hanging on my bathroom wall. So when I don't wear them, why wouldn't I use them as a photo prop? Great question.
This can be scarves, clothing, anything basically. Brings a little cosiness to the picture.
NOTEBOOKS & STATIONERY
This is something I need to admit I don't own enough. I've planned to invest in some because I find the pictures featuring these things incredibly inspirational. I don't know if it's the colours, but good stationery always gives me the inspiration vibes.
Backgrounds, quotes, anything inspiring. Best part? Print them at your home if you've got a printer so you don't need to buy them.
RANDOM BEAUTY STUFF
Makeup brushes, palettes, nail polishes, all contents the bits and bobs from our makeup bag.
I personally love candles in the pictures. Or candles in general.
What are your favourite photo props to use?
