5 WAYS TO FIND MOTIVATION FOR BLOGGING

You know the feeling when your motivation for blogging just suddenly disappears?
I've got 5 ways to help you with that.

These are some things that have helped me through the tough times when I've been feeling unmotivated with blogging. I'm not saying that I'm a professional when it comes to blogging and motivation, but I discovered in my days as a daily blogger that lack of motivation, especially when taking pictures, is a real thing you might deal with pretty long times.

1. IS IT TIME TO UPDATE THE LOOK?

Have you been stuck in the same look for a pretty long while now? For me, personally, I find it so inspirational when I change the blog layout from time to times. It really does get me inspired of writing on a whole new level. It doesn't have to be anything big, just changing social media buttons might be enough for someone. For me, it's the whole layout or nothing.

2. SOCIAL MEDIA DETOX

Cut off all your social medias and touch for the Internet for a little while. It might seem a hard thing to do, but in this world, it's more than necessary sometimes. If you notice you've been too caught up with the social media, it might help when you shut down that laptop, turn off the Internet and start living your life through life, you know.

3. TAKE A WALK, LONG SHOWER OR BATH

I find myself really inspired when I'm doing my such eco-friendly showers. By eco-friendly, I mean a complete opposite. I just sit on the floor, under a hot shower and think about things. I once had an idea for a song while I was in the shower. I don't know why this gets me so inspired, but it does.

4. HAVE A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP

Sleeping is the answer to everything. Just mark my words and repeat after me, sleeping is the answer to everything.

5. WRITE DOWN THINGS

I usually write down things when I'm inspired. They might be only just a few word sentences or just words that don't make any sense afterward - but I find writing down really motivating and inspiring.

How do you keep yourself motivated for blogging?

  3. I have no idea why but I tend to get new ideas and inspiration in shower too! :) Brainstorming some ideas is a great one too. Sometimes I also like to go trough my latest photos from phone or camera just to make sure that I haven't forgot to post about something I was planned to.

  5. I'd add one thing: keep your eyes open all the time. Anything is a blogging opportunity. Have a diary and a camera with you all the time and just look around. I keep writing ideas down on my calendar and keep snapping photos all the time where ever I am. They all turn into blog posts eventually. It's good to have a stash to dig into, too :)

  8. I like this post so much Jasmin. I usually loose my motivation and my inspiration when something bad and unexpected happens and i need to deal with it in order to handle the issue and then to get back to normal days. But i think taking a walk or going for a coffee, siting all alone only with my notebook and my thoughts, always helps me. Thanks for sharing your tips! xo xo

  11. I always write things down when ideas pop into my head. It means I can forget about them and concentrate on the task at hand then focus on them when I look at my list! I love a walk and a hot bath as well to unwind and focus on me :) Ree love30

  13. Taking walks is one of my favorite methods to come up with ideas and brainstorm. The problem is I'm often flooded with ideas and need to pull out my phone and type like mad which can interrupt a good rhythm. Another effective method is alcohol. This is where the Ballmer Peak becomes a real thing. A delicate balance of blood alcohol concentration level which brings about superhuman blogging capabilities.

    1. Hahah, I've never mixed alcohol & blogging, to be honest but I'm excited to try that out next to a glass of a good red wine after the baby is born lol :D

  14. Good points that you have listed, I sometimes struggle with motivation too but I find that sometimes you just need a push to help you find it again. I do agree with a new layout as when I got mine just before Christmas I found that my blogging mojo returned as it made me want to write more :)
