LAST MINUTE GIFT IDEA - CHUNKY WOOL BLANKET | BLOGMAS DAY 15

Well, hello there!

I'm going to share a one last minute gift idea for Christmas with you guys and I have to say, this is my favorite one of all I've done so far. So basically, it's all about that chunky wool blanket everyone's been buzzing about lately. I know you can also buy those online with some, hmm... Unreasonable price if you ask me - so I decided that I'd make my own.
I bought some chunky wool yarn from Aliexpress, you can find ones just looking up with words "chunky wool yarn" and then order yourself an appropriate amount. The one I made took 4 balls of yarn (2000g) and I know I wanted to make a larger one so I'm placing this little one to Dino's room and I ordered 8 balls of yarn right away I did this.

When these yarns arrived, I found myself arm-knitting pretty quickly them all away, even though I thought it would take a whole lot more than one hour! So this is pretty quickly to make too, especially if you're arm-knitting it. The sticks that came with the yarn weren't as good as they were looking in the picture, so I threw them away and used my hands instead.

Although, I think I might give this a go when I'm able to find a proper knitting needle for the purpose. It'll look so much better when you knit it with sticks and then you'll be able to do some decorating in it too. Anyways, this is a perfect gift idea and it's super quick to make too if you're still able to find yarn from someplace before Christmas. I highly recommend you to try this one. The video below is the one that I used to learn arm-knitting and it's really in-depth and shows everything you need to know.

  5. You know what, handmade products are always better than bulk-bought. Even if they're made in 45 minutes. So cute and so practical.
