GINGERBREAD COOKIES | BLOGMAS DAY 11

Well, hello

How are we doing today? I hate to admit, that I have never done gingerbread cookies from the scratch before. That's insane now when I think about that. I've always bought a ready made dough from the food store but this year I decided to do something completely different. As you know, I love to challenge myself and I'm going to make these from the scratch and I'll be sharing the recipe with you.

INGREDIENTS:

- 1dl syrup
- 1 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 0,5 teaspoon of clove
- 0,5 teaspoon of ginger
- 200g butter
- 2,5dl sugar
- 0,5 egg
- 1dl double cream
- 1,5 teaspoons of baking soda
- 7dl flour

HOW TO ROLL WITH IT?

1. Heat the syrup & add seasonings to it. Froth butter and sugar, then add an egg in the mix. Let the syrup cool down a little, then mix butter-sugar-egg cream and flours with the baking soda in it. You want to whip them all pretty quickly so the dough won't become too tough.

2. Place it in the fridge and wait for tomorrow.

3. Your dough is ready, then it's time to roll it out and cut gingerbread men or whatever you want out of it. Bake your gingerbread cookies in the oven in 200°C degrees for about 5 minutes. Be careful that they won't burn!
