THE AUTUMN MAKEUP EDIT | GUEST POST BY SHARON

Hello you lovely people! Now before I crack on I’d better introduce myself… I have
a little blog www.realmsofbeauty.wordpress.com, I’m 19 years old and live in London.
I’m just going to cut straight to the good stuff now!

Now that we’re well and truly in Autumn I have found a couple of makeup items that not
only follow some of the main AW16 makeup trends but also work really well in the colder
weather!

Let’s start of with the base. The Nars Sheer Glow foundation is one of my favourite
foundations but for this Autumn where dewy skin is so in, it’s become my holy grail.
The buildable coverage is perfect for the chilly months because it saves the world from
having to see my dull skin. The lightweight formula is a Godsend for me as the wind
dries my skin out and this doesn’t go flaky on me!

So on the AW16 Catwalks Gucci and Valentino models were rocking illuminated
cheekbones, cupids bow and even lids. To mimic this trend I’m using a combination
of the Kiko Radiant Touch Highlighter stick and the Topshop Glow Pot in gleam.
I use the stick under my foundation on my T-zone and cheekbones. I feel like when
I use it over the top it drags my foundation around which is a look I’d rather avoid,
you feel me? This gives a subtle silver glow which makes your skin rock a dewy finish,

pot only on my cheekbones (what cheekbones? lol) to make them really stand out!

On to eyes. Now I honestly think the last time I used kohl pencil on my lids was when
I was 14 but this smoky look is making a come back with Kenzo leading the way. A thick
blended out line is all you need to get that fresh of the runway makeup look this Autumn.
For this look I have fallen back in love with the Smashbox Limitless eyeliner that blends
like a dream but stays where you want it like a beast.

Where’s the colour I hear you cry?! Don’t you fret it’s all about the lips with crimson reds
and dark berries. For my lips this Autumn I have selected my Chanel Rouge Velvet in La
Fasciante for my brighter red and the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Damned. Both are
matte because at the moment I really have not been enjoying glossier finishes and just feel
like they don’t last long enough for me.

I don’t tend to wear blush on a daily but when I do I reach for yet another Nars product!
They are really nailing it for me recently. The Dolce Vita blush which I have in the Voulez-
Vou Cocher Avec Moi pallete (limited edition pallete but omg so stunning). I find it so hard
to come across deep blushes made for my skin tone but this one is heavenly just look!

I hope you enjoyed this little edit from me and if you’re not sick of me already why not
head over to my blog and check out the rest of my content!! Thank you so much to the
lovely Jasmin for letting me chat away to you all! xx
