MY HEN PARTY

I had my hen party a few weeks ago, precisely 23rd of April.
Earlier that week my maid of honor Petra wanted to know if it was okay to her to
come and visit us, you know - crafting decorations and planning stuff out for the
wedding. I was a bit suspicious because I had just found out that I have a weekend
off at work. I rarely have Saturdays without work, that's what made me suspicious.
Later on Saturday I found out that my co-workers had asked me the weekend off
because of my hen party - I got bit confused because nobody at work really does
not know that I'm getting married. Only ones who I'm working daily with.
Petra arrived here 22nd of April and I immediately started planning stuff for us to
do, filling our Saturday with important - or less important things to prepare for the
wedding just that I could see if there was any suspicious party planning going on
behind my back.
There was, but still she didn't show any signs of it.

Saturday morning arrived, I was still in my pyjamas making breakfast. I realised
that we ran out of milk so I couldn't make pancakes even though it was the plan
and I sent J to go to the grocery store to get some. There we were, just me and Petra.
Casually hanging next to our kitchen table until the doorbell rings.
I went and opened the door, saw a bunch of people in our hallway yelling surprise
with their cameras and phones. I was surprised, excited, confused and a bit anxious at
the very moment.
I realised that our flat was a mess and there was a bunch of people coming in.
Suddenly I'm finding myself in our kitchen baking cupcakes. Nobody seemed to
care about our flats condition, or how clean it was and I was in our kitchen cleaning
and baking cupcakes at the same time.
So confused. It was fun tho!

Petra also gave me a notebook and a Wife pass for the evening. Wife pass included
tasks like "knows the secrets of the marriage", "can bake to her husband" & "knows
his husband".
Later that evening I found out what knowing my husband meant and it was a bunch
of questions where I was supposed to answer like J had answered before.
I got everything right, except one. The question was "train or airplane?"
I answered "train, because he wouldn't choose airplane because of my aviaphobia."
Correct answer was airplane and later when I asked J why he would choose airplane
he said that because it takes you fast to places where's warm and that are far away.
Oh the laugh we had.
I also managed to have only 2 panic attacks, thanks to those cupcakes. I was supposed
to sell those in the middle  of Helsinki, so apparently we had to skip that.
Thank goodness they were delicious so nobody didn't mind about that.

After that cupcake episode we went to J's sisters place to hang out, drink, make pizza,
drink and sing Singstar. It was fun.
They had also rented a karaokebus for us from Inkeri's place to bar at Helsinki.
I couldn't be more thankful to these girls, they're just amazing.
So thank you Petra, Jenni, Sonja, Linnea, Nea, Inkeri, Mia, Jutta, Mira, Jenna,
Susanna, Tia & Minna for the wonderful evening.
Especially Jenni, Sonja, Petra & Minna who came all the way from outside of Helsinki.
Rest of the evening is a bit blur to me thanks to all those tequilas and other stuff you
made me to drink, but I don't mind - it was a fun night.

lots of love, Jasmin.
